You’ll find Colors on steroids, exquisite designs, elegant shopping at the Interwoven Expressions Exhibit and Show on Saturday, November 13th, 2021.
Exciting creations from hands that weave, dye, knit, felt, quilt, tat, stitch, and design. Handmade paper and basketry too! Interwoven Expressions presents the 34th annual celebration of all things made of fiber, from holiday ornaments to elegant one-of-a-kind clothing, contemporary and traditional, home décor, and gifts. Only the most accomplished artists/craftsmen residing in states that border our Lake Michigan are juried into Interwoven Expressions.
This eclectic gathering of 30 artists includes award winning leaders in their respective technique. Several teach or demonstrate their specialty, and some have been published.
Held only once a year, Interwoven Expressions attracts very talented artists. IN the past two of the IE artists have hosted PBS televised sewing programs (Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne viewing markets), and one designs and markets her own line of sewing patterns. Participants come from major art shows from Florida to New York, and west to Colorado and New Mexico. All have fascinating fiber journeys that bring them to Interwoven. Plan to meet the artists with these fiber addictions.
Interwoven Expressions has returned to Chesterton from their 1984 starting point. Originally the annual show of the Duneland Weavers Guild, IE gradually morphed and blossomed into the independent celebration of all things fiber over the years. Today, admission to the IE roster of artists is a coveted accomplishment, and the presentation is stellar.
Minutes from I80/94 or the Indiana Toll Road, Sand Creek Country Club, 1001 Sand Creek Drive, is just east of Rt 49 on Porter Avenue, in Chesterton, IN.
Admission and parking are free. Hours 9 am–5pm CST
