Whiting is known for many activities, especially its wonderful parades—4th of July, Pierogi, Easter and now you won’t want to miss the Illuminated Holiday Parade on Friday, Dec 2 sponsored by Notre Dame Credit Union! Costume Characters, Animated Displays, Reindeer and Santa Claus will be the Stars of the parade.
This Year’s Parade is Sponsored by the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, John Wilkening Interviewed
Becky Mateja Lombardini with Vision Quest and Sue Baxter of PanoramaNow will be emceeing and streaming the festivities live on PanoramaNow facebook’s page at ~ 7 pm.
Come on down and be a part of the production or just view it from the comfort of your living room. The parade starts at Clark High School on 119th and travels the entire length on the street until it hits the end near the entrance to the park with live reindeer about half way down the route in front of the City Hall where the broadcast will take place.
“The line-up has over 30 entries with all your favorite local and familiar faces,” stated Mark Harbin, City Special Events Director. Many Entries are floats with tons of lighting as well as animation!
Besides the parade, you can enjoy all the other cool offerings Whiting has to offer with shops, restaurants, park, beach and Mascot museum! See you soon and Happy Holidays from Mayor Steve Spebar and the rest of the Whiting, Indiana community.
