Hurricane Sandy plays a Leading Role in Gripping Northlight Drama, “By the Water”

**** Recommended **** It seems to me that families faced with disasters, natural or otherwise, will react in a couple of ways.  They’ll either stay close, pulling together to overcome the problem or they’ll fall apart as the cracks already existing in the family foundation fracture.  In “By the Water”, the gripping new drama at Northlight Theatre, Hurricane Sandy has all but destroyed the good life of the Murphy family.  “By the Water” is so well written, I knew who these people were and how they ticked within minutes of their appearance on the stage.  4 Spotlights
