Holdcraft Players is pleased to announce their latest production, I Regret Nothing. Never before performed onstage in the United States, I Regret Nothing is a dark, funny, and chilling show written by award winning Romanian playwright Csaba Székely. It is a bone chilling show with a shocking ending.
“I Regret Nothing” is a two-act play with a cast of three people. Set in Romania in the summer of 2006, it is the story of a doomed man who has a chance for redemption when he befriends a young woman and is presented with an opportunity from an old colleague. Grant Fitch plays Dominic, a former member of the Romanian secret police, who is unexpectedly visited by his former colleague, Alex. Played by Joel Thompson, Alex may have sinister intentions. Meanwhile, Dominic develops a friendship with Liza (played by Alayna Lauritsen), his odd upstairs teen neighbor with an obsession about dogs. The cast is rounded out with Auriel Felsecker and Herbert Lemonger lending voice talent to additional offstage characters.
This show is the directorial debut of local actor John Hutchinson. Hutchinson is passionately excited about this show, having contacted the playwright himself to get his approval to perform this powerhouse of a show. He is excited to bring his darkly disturbing vision of Székely’s work to the local stage.
Performances of I Regret Nothing will be Fridays and Saturdays, April 14, 15, 21, and 22 at 7pm, and Sundays, April 16 and 23 at 3pm.
