Hidden Lake Park is open every day from 9:00am to Dusk! Patrons can experience paddleboats, shelters, concessions, softball games, disc golf, fitness trail, playgrounds, fishing, picnic areas, sledding hill and a nice social center. Although there is a nice sized lake with a beautiful fountain, it’s too small for watercrafts. All picnic areas have tables and a small grills, areas 2, 4 and 5 have electricity.
Admission fees are only $5 per car for residents and $8 per car for non-residents Memorial Day thru Labor Day Weekend. Season passes available. (fees may change on special events) The park celebrates special occasions with a bang, such as their July 4th Celebration and their Holiday Lights Drive thru during the Holidays. The park is equipped with 6 shelters, each ranging in sizes, and are available with reservation fees.
The newly remodeled social center is the park’s primary event facility. It has beautiful furnishings inside with a breathtaking view of the lake and outdoor water fountain from the veranda. The inside is complete with a beverage area, kitchen, restrooms, drinking fountain, projection screen, two flat screen TVs, and WI-FI. You can bring your own food for use in the kitchen or use a caterer. The social center can accommodate up to 125 people and is available for daily rentals, except for certain holidays or events.
Hidden Lake Park is located just south of the I-65 exit at 61st Street. Their address is 6355 Broadway, Merrillville, IN, and can be reached by calling 219-769-2111. The park is operated by Ross Township Trustee.
