You can throw chairs and tables around willy-nilly, but this space would be pointless if it doesn’t take advantage of the great outdoors. An outdoor space requires the same thoughtfulness design as any other space in your home. You need to capitalize on where the sun is setting and understand how you plan to use the space. Is it a place for pure relaxation, or will it be for hanging out by the pool and playing games? Give your space a purpose, and it will be the next most important part of your home.
Make Sure That You Can See
Your space needs a purpose, but it also requires some great lighting. When the sun goes down, you don’t want to be left in the dark or forced to go back inside. The party should not end at 7:00 PM. Cable management is essential, especially when outside, as they are exposed to the elements and can be a tripping hazard. Set up the system correctly the first time so that everyone is safe and has the best experience.
