Duneland Garden Club to hold fourth annual FREE TRANSPLANT CLINIC at Chesterton Feed and Garden on Saturday March 21
The Duneland Garden Club will hold its fourth annual FREE Transplant Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, on the always friendly premises of Chesterton Feed & Garden Center, 400 Locust St., Chesterton.
The annual Transplant Clinic is one of the many service projects undertaken every year by the Duneland Garden Club, this one to help local house plant owners repot their plants and teach them how to tend to these tasks at home. After all, who owns just one plant?
But please: Only one plant per household, up to a 12-inch pot.
It’s suggested that you water your plant a few days in advance. Be sure to bring a new pot of your own or else purchase one of the many unique selections on offer at Chesterton Feed & Garden.
Chuck Roth, owner of Chesterton Feed & Garden Center, has generously donated the soil and fertilizer, while the Duneland Garden Club will offer its green-thumb skills and wisdom in the transplantation of your plant. At no cost! The Duneland Garden Club will not, however, be responsible for plant shock or longevity.
One other thing: DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED! All donations support the Duneland Garden Club’s planting and landscaping work in Downtown Chesterton and Thomas Centennial Park.
