Youngsters are invited to enjoy a day of fishing with the Portage Township Parks & Recreation Department’s Youth Fishing Day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14.
The program will be held at the Izaak Walton League Miller Chapter, 1250 Crisman Road Portage.
Youngsters will have a chance to learn the art of fishing with a member of the Ikes as well as have lunch.
The cost is $15 per child, which includes lunch, a fishing rod, fishing reel and tackle, which the child can take home at the end of the event.
