Hop into the Easter spirit and bring the kids out to enjoy the annual Easter Parade! It’s a bright, colorful, and fun way to begin the Easter holiday. The Parade is at 2p.m. Saturday, April 9th, 2022. The route begins at the Whiting YMCA and ends in front of City Hall. If your organization or business would like to participate, call the Chamber at 219-659-0292 to register.
Begin your day at Whiting Lakefront Park for the City of Whiting’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30 am.
Guess who comes out during the Easter season in Whiting after a long winter’s nap? Bunch-o-Bunnies of course! The Bunnies will be hopping along the sidewalks of 119th Street before and after the parade.
If you didn’t get enough furry fun from our Bunch-o-Bunnies, join the Easter Bunny as he visits the Chamber again this year for your photo opportunity! Stop in from 11a.m. until 3 p.m. for an individual or group photo with the Easter Bunny, all ages and leashed pets are welcome. Photos are only $10 per sheet (one pose), and we will email you all of your poses. Visit with the Easter Bunny and capture the memory of the Easter season Call 219-659-0292 for more details.
While waiting for your photo op with the bunny, vote for your favorite Peeps Project. The projects are displayed at the Whiting Chamber of Commerce for everyone to see and enjoy. A prize will be awarded to the project that gets the most votes in the adult category, the teen category (13-18) and to the most votes in the children’s competition (12 years and under). Winners are determined in all 3 categories by “Peeples Choice,” so make sure to support your favorite!
