     The Annual Wanatah Scarecrow Festival features arts and crafts, children’s rides, pork chop dinner, fish fry, pancake breakfast, parade, scarecrow sculpting, fun runs for kids and adults, music, variety acts, car show, bingo and more.
     Enjoy arts and crafts, rides for children, a pork chop dinner, fish fry, and community merchant drawings. Come out and enjoy arts and crafts, rides for children and adults, music and variety acts, a parade, and of course our delicious pretzels.

     Don’t miss the Twist Pretzels to satisfy your hunger cravings. They will have bacon and cheddar pretzels, jalapeno and cheese pretzels, pepperoni pizza pretzels, garlic parmesan pretzels, cinnamon and sugar pretzels, salted caramel pretzels, peanut butter and chocolate pretzels, and of course everyone’s favorite original pretzel with cheese sauce.
     SEPTEMBER 2023
Event hours will be:

Saturday:  .9-9 p.m.
Sunday:  9-4 p.m.

     Additionally, there will be a Car Show, Scarecrow Queen, Cutest Baby Contest, and Scarecrow Contest.

     To Start Things Off, see Harvest Contest Friday  at Scarecrow Square: Categories in: Tallest Sunflower, Heaviest Pumpkin, Largest Ear of Corn, Largest Zinnia, Soybean Stalk with Most Pods, Largest Tomato, Largest Watermelon, Most Unusual Gourd or Squash.
    Following the Festival Parade will be Saturday,  at 11:00 AM Assembly begins at Legion Post 403 Parking Area. Parade begins and ends at Legion.
