Celebrate the 250th birthday Ludwig van Beethoven. Regarded by many as the greatest composer our world has ever known, his Symphony No. 5, and its four-note opening motif, is one of the best-known compositions in the world.
The concert begins with Vivaldi’s revolutionary violin concerti, The Four Seasons, featuring our own concertmaster Michele Lekas, which evokes flowing creeks, singing birds, frozen landscapes, and warm fires as it gives musical expression to the seasons in a year.
Electrifying pianist Yana Reznick returns to play Rachmaninoff’s exuberant and romantic Piano Concerto No. 1.
