On Wednesday October 26th at 9:30am the Remember Our Fallen Traveling War Memorial will arrive at the 109th and I65 Interchange to be escorted by the Crown Point Police and Fire Departments.  They will travel down North St. to Main St. and arrive at the First United Methodist Church.
This presentation is a part of an ongoing program through First Methodist entitled “Operation Salute,” which is geared toward raising awareness and funds for programs benefiting disabled veterans in Northwest Indiana through the Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council.

“Today there are 2.6 million disabled veterans living in the United States,” says Mark Wilkins, senior pastor. “It is our duty as a church, as a part of our community to do all that we can to help support and thank those who have given so much for our freedom and security.”

Remembering our Fallen is a nationally touring photo-display honoring military service members who have died from wounds suffered in the war zone since 9/11.  The exhibit will be on display inside the First United Methodist Church beginning Wednesday October 26th through November 2nd daily from 10am-7pm.
