Get ready to join this exciting journey virtually from Gary, Indiana all the way to Washington DC! On August 15, 2020 citizens who believe in fair, peaceful, and win-win solutions to issues will watch live and join virtually as Chuck G., event organizer, and Haneefah Khaaliq bike ride across the region to bring groups together from all backgrounds to show solidarity.
The virtual bike ride will begin at City Methodist Church located at 577 Washington Street in Gary, Indiana, an urban ruin, once the site of a grand congregation. From there, they will ride together to Valparaiso, Indiana for a 12 p.m. virtual rally at the County Court House.
They will then head to Indianapolis through Wanatah, Plymouth, Rochester, Logansport, and Kokomo, finally arriving in Indianapolis, where on Monday, Aug 17th, there will be another virtual rally at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, 1 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, Indiana at 1 p.m.
On August 28th Haneefah will further represent unity and peace at the I Have a Dream March at the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. Be a part of this amazing undertaking by visiting her Facebook and Eventbrite pages.
