A holiday tradition since 2003, the Valparaiso Turkey Trot brings together families and friends from all over the country (33 states represented in 2018!) to kick off Thanksgiving Day. This annual event includes a 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run through the streets of Valparaiso, Indiana. Hosted by the Porter-Starke Services Foundation, event proceeds benefit mental health and wellness programs and resources in Northwest Indiana.
With over 3,800 runners and walkers in 2018, the Valparaiso Turkey Trot continues to be the largest race of its kind in Northwest Indiana. Walkers, runners, sponsors and volunteers – everyone’s presence on Thanksgiving morning supports and promotes mental health and wellness in our communities. Join us in 2019!
Based on your 2018 Survey feedback, we are offering an official 2019 Valparaiso Turkey Trot Finisher Medal! Rather than raise the registration fee for all, the finisher medals are optional, available only to those who pre-order them. Finisher Medals are available to purchase for $5 (plus Indiana sales tax).
Two Ways to Order:
MAIL IN REGISTRANTS: The Valparaiso Turkey Trot online store gives mail in registrants the opportunity to purchase a Finisher Medal.
ONLINE REGISTRANTS: If you have already registered online, you can still add the Finisher Medal by logging into to your RunSignUp account. Add the Finisher Medal as an Add-Ons. This will seamlessly connect your newly purchased medal to your account.
Finisher Medals will only be available to those who pre-order them by October 31, 2015 – additional medals will NOT be available to purchase at the event. Medal recipients must physically participate in the 2015 Valparaiso Turkey Trot (5K or 10K). Medals are non-refundable and will be available for pick up in the Valparaiso High School Fieldhouse after you finish the race. We will ask to see your bib to confirm your order.
