Valparasio’s Sunset Hill County Park (porterco.org) transforms from a quiet, county park to a haunted attraction as the leaves turn color in October.
The park’s Haunted Trails special event is hosted the Porter County Abate and sponsored by the Porter County Parks and the Northern Indiana Historical Power Association on select dates leading up to Halloween, and visitors are treated to a haunted hayride through the park’s wooded setting.
The event is open to adults and children of all ages. The park offers a refreshment stand with drinks and a bake sale. Come early to Be prepared to stand in line, this event is extremely popular.
Cost is $10 per person, children under 6 are free with adult. Gates open a 6:00, first tractor out at 7pm. Gates close at 10pm with last tractor out at 10:30 pm.
