The Michigan City St. Patrick’s Parade Committee is accepting entries for the parade, which will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9th 2019.

The parade will start its route on Franklin Street from 10th Street to Fourth Street.

“The parade is shaping up nicely but there’s room for a few more floats, bands, precision groups and groups from schools, churches, neighborhoods, and Boy and Girl Scouts,” said parade committee chairman Johnny Stimley. “We are also looking for volunteers the day of the parade.”

Hosted by Uptown Arts District, who hopes that businesses and organizations – Irish or not – will build floats for the  St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The judges will award trophies for floats in the categories “Best Use O The Green,” “Funniest Irish Theme,” and “Most Authentic Irish Entry.”
