Join us on Saturday, June 11th for a special artist talk with Brabant Lenting, who will be discussing his career as an artist and Subconcious Symmetry, the current exhibit at White Ripple Gallery. Doors open at 6 PM. Artist talk starts at 7 PM with a Q&A to follow. At the same time join us for open studios, with live art and demos, music, shopping at the resale shop of the gallery, and more! And bring your appetites for the food being sold outdoors and stay for the fun performances and craft sales all along Kennedy Avenue. Live music by Keenan Baxter.
There will be live Art by Ian Lantz (Pullman Chicago; BJAM (Chicago); and Corkys Arellano (Frida’s Café). There will be Artist Talks by Thomas hagain, Rick Therrio and Brabant Lenting.
There will be Pop up Art Exhibits by: DAVe (Dyer Arts Vidionaries); Franklin Art District Artists (Michigan City); and Subconscious Symmetry: Paintings by Brabant Lenting and Rick Therrio.
Creating a Live community Ian Lantz will create an art piece with the help of everyone in the audience. That night you can also see Ian’s 2015 commnity piece from last year’s Live in the Ville permanantly on display at White Ripple Gallery & Co. Guests and visitors will all get a chance to work with Ian to create another beautiful community piece. Supplies will be provided. We are so happy to have Ian returning for the second year in a row!
The Open Art Studios and shops that will be open are: Kathy Los-Rathburn, Tony Lipka, Dawn Diamantopoulos, Shari lemonier, Rita Berg, Joel Janowski, Martin Navejas, Sophis Rapata, and the Burgundy Closet, Art Therapy, Universal upholstery and Frida’s Café and Gallery.
In Addition, there will be street performers, Craft Vendors, Performance Artists, Outdoor Galleries, Dance and Musicians. Lots to see and do at White Ripple’s Second Saturday, part of Live in the Ville Month Long Festival held every Saturday night.
