You are cordially invited to attend the 125th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Barker. A Victorian Romance is an afternoon event much like the events held during the Victorian era to be held at the Barker Mansion. Mark your calendars for an event to remember. Event features Mansion tours, live music, sweet table with Katherine and John’s anniversary cake, live actors depicting the Barkers on their wedding day and of course, a champagne toast.
The 38-room mansion was built by freight car industrialist and philanthropist John H. Barker in 1905, after he expanded onto his father’s original 1857 home on the same site. Barker took advantage of the mansion’s location right next to the Haskell and Barker Car Company, bringing many of the factory’s advanced mechanical amenities to the home.
The Mansion contains original furnishings, art objects, a ballroom and has and architectural style sunken garden.Visit www.barkermansion.com for details.
