Every Labor Day weekend, Griffith celebrates its railroad history with the Rock ‘N’ Rail Street Festival, which features a fantastic variety of food and street vendors, arts and crafts, family entertainment and non-stop live music on two Entertainment Stages inside a Family Beer Garden and the Live Band music Beer Garden.
KIDZONE:
Kid’s activities include Bounce Houses, Train Barrel Rides, Princess day, Superhero day, Face Painting, and much more! Many other surprises!
CAR SHOW:
The Car show has a $15 entry fee with the first 100 entrants receiving a dash plaque. All profits will go to benefit the Griffith Fire Fighters Assoc. Any questions please contact GFFA President Steve Stelk at (219) 614-6013.
5K – 1K Run:
Held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The 5th Annual Rock ‘N’ Rail event benefits the scholarship program at the Griffith Family YMCA. Did you know that the Y doesn’t turn anyone away for the inability to pay? Money raised from this event goes to the YMCA scholarship program. Those scholarships are given to low income individuals and families so they can participate in programs and membership. Come for the race, stay for the fun! Griffith’s Rock ‘N’ Rail Street Festival will be happening after the race!
