Sunset Hill Farm County Park
The Prairie Magic Music Fest is a celebration of rock, bluegrass, folk and Americana music set right in the heart of a beautiful County Park just minutes from the expressway.
Grammy award winning blues legend Shemekia Copeland, hard rockin Sarah Shook & the Disarmers, American Idol star Crystal Bowersox, and one of the hottest new guitar slingers around, Jackie Venson.
We will celebrate women in the arts and in our community this year.
Gates open at noon and music will start at 1:00 pm. Parking is free and the event is family-friendly.
COVID precautions will be in place and seating will be socially distanced. Face coverings will be required when not in your seating area.
Food and drinks will be available on site and outside food items are not allowed. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets but please do not obstruct other attendees view.
The Prairie Magic Music Festival is an annual celebration of Rock, Americana, and Blues music that takes place each August. Bring your lawn chairs and sun shades to enjoy an afternoon of amazing music at our outdoor amphitheater. Food trucks, bounce houses, a beer garden, and kids activities will be available all day! Doors open at 12:00 pm, and music will begin at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $30 in advance.
Porter County Parks & Recreation is also opening up the Sunset Hill Farm Campground for camping the night of the festival. Visitors can rent space in the campground for just $5.
Water will be available on site at no cost, but coolers and outside food and beverages are not allowed. Hosted by Porter County Parks and Recreation, 219-465-3586.
