This Saturday August 22! The American Legion picnic from 11-7! Come get your deep fried vegetables, mozzarella cheese sticks, corn dogs, elephant ears, pretzels, Lemon Shake Ups, ice cream, snow cones, chicken, fried green tomatoes and pork tenderloin sandwiches! Along with steamed sweet corn on the cob and fresh sliced watermelon! Bags tournament sign ups at 11, starts at 1 pm.

Here is a statement from the Legion-
“It’s almost here! Saturday August 22, is the Post 260 food truck picnic, from 11-7pm. Porter Co health dept has given the “OK”. Besides the delicious foods the food trucks are offering, Post 260 will provide our traditional steamed corn and watermelon. Music will be from the long time local band Short Circut from 1-4pm.
Draft beer pop and water will be available on the picnic grounds. Full bar thru the main legion clubroom. Cash bars. Sanitation stations will be manned throughout the day. Masks are encouraged but can be removed once seated.
A silent auction will be held in the large hall from 11-3pm when tickets will be drawn. Our great auxiliary will host the annual cake/toy walk throughout the day. The weather looks great!
