      Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and the Dunes Learning Center are bringing the Northwest Indiana Symphony to West Beach on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. for a free concert with the magnificent dunes as the backdrop.  For All   SEVEN SYMPHONY CONCERTS CLICK HERE!


     Enjoy the 40 piece symphony orchestra under the direction of Conductor Kirk Muspratt for a two hour performance of music selected to fit this anniversary year. The stage will be set up in the southwest parking lot at West Beach. Limited seating is available near the stage.
     Therefore, visitors are encouraged to bring folding chairs. Several food vendors will be serving a variety of dinner items or participants can bring a picnic dinner. Alcohol is prohibited at West Beach. Fee collection at West Beach will cease at 5 p.m. that day.  Please carpool if possible.


     In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be relocated to the Chesterton High School Auditorium.  Information concerning inclement weather will be posted at the entrance to West Beach, on the park’s website at, and on the park’s Facebook page
