Characters:
Hercule Poirot – probably the most famous fictional detective in the world. Belgian, ex-policeman, now private detective.
Colonel Arbuthnot – Scotsman, mid-30’s, handsome, and very matter-of-fact, will double as Samuel Ratchett, middle-aged American businessman, brusque, unforgiving, threatening demeanor and a whiplash of a voice.
Mary Debenham – English beauty in her late 20’s.
Mrs. Hubbard – Outspoken American, 50’s, well-dressed with a touch of flamboyance.
Hector McQueen – Nervous young American in his 30’s with strained, rather beleaguered face.
Monsieur Bouc – Another Belgian, young middle-aged man of good humor. Runs Wagon-Lit, the train company.
Princess Dragomiroff – Russian, in her 70’s, expensively dressed, heavily bejeweled.
Greta Ohlsson – Swedish, 30’s, plain, frightened sheep-like quality about her.
Michel – Conductor, good looking Frenchman, 40’s – will double as head waiter
Countess Andrenyi – Hungarian (or is she?), 20’s, beautiful, dressed to the nines in furs and diamonds.
