Join a ranger at Indiana Dunes national Lakeshore for a hike to the top of famous Mount Baldy. Even though the area is closed for general public use, the ranger-led tour allows visitors to experience the beauty and spectacular views from the tallest dune in the National Lakeshore.

Please note that the Mount Baldy parking lot and beach are open everyday from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. The dune itself, however, is still closed for general public use.

They strongly ask the public to respect and follow posted closure signs and stay out of roped-off areas. The dune is still closed for reasons of public safety and restoration efforts.

Please meet at the Mount Baldy parking lot, located just off of U.S. Highway 12, just west of Michigan City, Indiana. No reservations are required, but Fees Apply.
