If you prefer candlelight, nostaliga, and historic homes decorated for Christmas during the holidays, we invite you to join in the Christmas Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes.

LaPorte, Indiana.  People Engaged in Preservation, LaPorte’s nonprofit historic preservation group, invites you to attend its enchanting 2023 Christmas Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes, Saturday, December 2nd 2023 from 3-7 pm, and Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 from 1-5 pm.  The tour includes 5 private homes and the Courthouse!  All 6 sites will be open for self-guided touring, and will be decorated for the holiday season.

Pam Ruminski, chairperson of the Candlelight Tour, stated, “We are pleased and excited to announce the return of the Candlelight Tour this year, after a hiatus in 2018.  I am particularly thrilled to report that 4 of the 7 structures have NEVER been on our tour before, dating back to our first tour in 1996,  making this an even more exciting year.  With 2023 representing our 19th tour, our members, volunteers, decorators, and homeowners are working diligently to put on another fantastic show for everyone.”

People Engaged in Preservation is a LaPorte-based non-profit citizens group dedicated to the preservation of our historic architecture, and promoting the economic development and quality-of-life benefits of historic preservation.
