Join us on the first and third Monday of every month as we work on a variety of projects at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve to improve and beautify the preserve.

During the winter, spring and early summer months we will be focusing on removing invasive species, which crowd out our native plants and reduce biodiversity. Come out to learn how to identify one of the Terrible Trio: autumn olive, oriental bittersweet, or black locust.

Be prepared to work outside and dress appropriately for the weather. We will provide all the necessary equipment and gear, as well as granola bars and water, although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. Feel free to stay as little or as long as you’d like.

So that we can best plan for the event, please RSVP by calling the office at 219-242-8558 or emailing Christine at cmaloney@heinzetrust.org. For information about last minute cancellations, please check back here.
