The Town of Dyer Special Events Committee is planning the 2016 Dyer Summer Fest Parade. To make this event memorable, we need the assistance of Dyer residents, businesses, and civic organizations. Please show your pride in our community.
Enclosed you will find an application for the parade entry. We are asking that you return the completed and signed entry application to the address below no later than Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in order to reserve a space in the parade.
Since the festivities are funded by donations, they are requesting a $10.00 donation to be made per marching or vehicle parade entry.
Political Candidates will be $10.00 each. If there are 2 Politicians on one float the cost is $20.00, if 3, then $30.00 and so on. All checks are to be made payable to the Town of Dyer Special Events marked as “Parade Entry” and mailed with your application.
This year the parade will line up at 11:00am on Sunday, June 12, 2016. The parade will step off promptly at 12:00pm Noon.
All entrants will be instructed where to enter the staging area for the starting line-up. Event coordinators will assist you in your placement when entering the staging area. Direct any questions to Jen Klimowski.
Parade Theme: Indiana Bicentennial Celebration!
Parade Route to be: The parade will start at 77th Ave. and proceed North on Hart Street to Grieving Street. Then East on Grieving Street to Nondorf where the parade will disband.
