The month may be coming to an end, but the best is yet to come in the City of Whiting.  Join us the last Saturday in October  for Whiting’s annual Historic Downtown Halloween Parade traveling down 119thStreet at 1:00 p.m.  Ghosts and ghouls from all over are invited to start the day early, in costume, for extra tricks and treats.

The City of Whiting’s Annual Halloween Parade begins traveling down 119th Street at 1:00 p.m.  Parade line up will be in the parking lot of Whiting City Hall and begin traveling south on New York Avenue.  The parade will then travel down 119th Street the YMCA Community Center where there will be treats for everyone.  So, rather than eating too much candy all in one night, join us for this family-fun opportunity to dress up in your costumes, and spend the afternoon in Downtown Whiting for some early Halloween festivities.

Trick-or-Treat hours this year will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31st.    The City wishes everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!  For more information on this year’s Halloween events or Trick-or-Treating, contact Whiting City Hall at (219) 659-7700.
