Beginning this Wednesday (7/6) at 2:00 pm, Canterbury Summer Theatre is very excited to present the Canterbury’s premiere of ‘First Date’, a fast, funny and edgy new musical about the contemporary dating scene! Canterbury Summer Theatre continues its 2016 season with this musical comedy performing from July 6 to 16th.

If you have ever had an awkward blind date (you know you did), you’re going to love this comedic portrayal of two mismatched people trying to make it to the end of dinner, while their personal thoughts and feelings come alive in hilarious fashion! When blind date newbie, Aaron, is set up with serial-dater, Casey, a casual drink turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner! As the date unfolds in real time, the couple quickly discovers they are not alone on this unpredictable evening. Casey and Aaron’s inner critics appear in the form of best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents. Can the couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives?
