Do you love owls as much as we do? Join Humane Indiana Wildlife for a family-friendly day of wide-eyed, owl-themed fun at our 3rd Annual Festival of the Owls event. Meet-and-greet our owl ambassadors, and be amazed as you learn about these majestic creatures during the many presentations from experts throughout the country.


Amy Kearns, Indiana DNR, speaking on Barn Owl populations in Indiana and hosting a Barn Owl Box workshop to make the boxes for DNR.

Brad Bumgardener, Indiana Audubon Society, speaking on what Indiana’s owl species are doing throughout the year.

Carol Blacketer, Wildcat Creek Wildlife Center, and her ambassadors Short-earred, Long-earred, and Barn Owls.

Nicole Harmon, Humane Indiana Wildlife, with ambassadors Snowy, Great Horned, and Eastern Screech Owls.

Rafi Wilkenson, Indiana Dunes National, speaking on finding and photographing owls in the wild respectfully.

Sarah Barnes, Shirley Heinze, speaking on the Project Owl-net saw-whet owl banding program in Northwest Indiana.

Allee Forsberg will share her adventures to see all 19 species of owls, native to the US in 2017.

TICKETS: $25/Adult (ages 15 & up) / $10/Child (ages 8-14) / Children 7 years and under are free

*Your ticket includes access to owl presentations throughout the day.

*Food, drink, and owl-box building are not included in the ticket price.
