Friday, October 21st First United Methodist Church will host its third annual “Feast of Screams” adult Halloween charity gala. This costume dinner-dance will benefit programs of disabled veterans in Northwest Indiana through the Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council.
“This is simply a fun event designed to appeal to the adults among us who still love Halloween”, says Paula Fender, project coordinator. This event will feature a dinner dance with a silent auction, and a special “zombie shoot” multimedia game.
“We love this opportunity to present a quality event for our community, and in the process to be able to benefit men and women who have given so much in service to our community and nation,” adds Mark Wilkins, senior pastor of First United Methodist. “Today there are 2.6 million disabled veterans in the United States, and as a nation we need to honor and help each one who has sacrificed so much for us. It is our privilege to do so through this program. The fact that in doing so we can offer an evening that is a great deal of fun is simply icing on the cake,” Wilkins adds. Tickets are only $20 each or $35 per couple.
Tickets may be reserved. For more information go to www.fumccp.org/events/feast-screams-halloween-gala/
