     The Towle Theater is pleased to present the comedy Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel.  This laugh out loud one-woman comedy will be directed by Suzanne Nyhan. Suzanne has been on stage at the Towle as Shirley Valentine in Shirley Valentine and Marguerite Oswald in Mama’s Boy and has also co-directed and directed shows at the Towle. 
     Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End is a comic look at one of our country’s most iconic voices, who captured the frustrations of her generation by asking, “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?” Discover the story behind America’s beloved humorist who championed women’s lives with wit that sprang from the most unexpected place of all – the truth. 

     Erma Bombeck was the most widely read columnist in America and syndicated in more than 900 newspapers.  She was also a correspondent for Good Morning America and she was regularly voted one of the most respected people in America. 

     The Towle is excited to have Laura MacGregor back on their stage as humorist Erma Bombeck.  Previously, Laura was seen at the Towle Theater as Maddy in Good Boys and True in 2011.   

     Following each performance, there will be a post-show book discussion on one of 3 books written by Erma BombeckOn Fridays, the book will be At Wit’s End, on Saturdays The Grass is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank and on Sundays the book will be If Life is a Bowl of Cherries, What Am I Doing in the Pitts?

    Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End runs February 21-23, 28-29, March 1, 6-8.  Performances on Fridays and Saturdays are at 8pm and Sundays are at 2pm.  The box office and bar open 1 hour prior to performance time. Tickets are only $21 and must be paid for in advance are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  Group rates are available.  There is no late seating.  Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to curtain.
