Elder Abuse – What is it? The Caring Place is hosting a one-of-a-kind informational seminar to discuss elder abuse in older people, what it looks like, who the perpetrators are, and how to spot the signs. Abuse in older people is multi-faceted and complex.

According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 people aged 60+ experience abuse at home every year. Elder abuse includes: physical abuse, psychological abuse, sexual abuse, neglect and financial abuse. This introductory conversation is designed to address the symptoms of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation, which has become a public health problem.

Join The Caring Place for this important conversation and hear from local professionals working in this field. FREE to the public. Email to: angelac@thecaringplacenwi.org to register or for questions.
