     The 16th annual Active Living Faire at Wolf Lake will feature the bi-state Labor Day Bike Ride on Monday, September 2nd.
     The 20 mile ride, with frequent stops along the way, will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a sign-up at the Environmental Education Center, 2405 Calumet Ave., Hammond.
     Sponsored by the Association for the Wolf Lake Initiative (AWLI), participants will view all parts of the watershed, while enjoying early autumn colors.

     Highlights include: • Wolf Lake Pavilion • Amaizo Channel • Eggers Grove • William Powers Recreation Area • Nike Missle Base • Indian Creek • Powderhorn Lake • Calumet Container Site • George Lake.
     Registration deadline for the Labor Day Bike Ride is August 23. Bike riders are required to wear helmets.
     The Active Living Faire is organized to promote health and fitness for visitors to the Wolf Lake watershed. It is free to the public.
     AWLI is a not-for-profit organization and land trust seeking to protect and enhance the Wolf Lake watershed.
