The Mayor’s Office of Special Events is inviting Crown Point residents to participate in our Easter / Spring home decorating contest. Similar to the Tour of Lights, we are asking residents to submit their homes and decorate the front yards for Easter / Spring by Friday, March 19th. The City will create an interactive map of all the home participating. Residents can drive around March 20th – 26th to view the homes and vote for their favorite. The winner will be recognized at the April 5th City Council meeting and receive a $50 gift card to Niemeyer’s Landscape Supply.
“This is great way to get the whole family involved and give the kids a fun project to stay busy” said Diana Bosse, Special Events Administrator. We encourage families to get creative and use items you already have to make the decorations. This activity is meant to be fun and give children and families a constructive way to spend time.
Families interested in entering their home in the contest should submit their information on our website at www.crownpoint.in.gov and be decorated by March 19th. An interactive map will be available on our website at www.crownpoint.in.gov beginning March 20th. Votes will be accepted March 20th – March 26th.
