After careful thought and deliberation, the Town of Lowell Parade of Lights
Committee would like to announce the 22nd Annual Parade of Lights (modified) event will take place on December 5, 2020 beginning at 4pm.
This year’s parade and traditional holiday events have been modified in an effort to keep participants, spectators and the community as safe as possible.

Parade of Lights: This will be a reverse style type of parade where participants
will not enter the parade. Instead, Santa will visit Lowell on a specified route that will have the least impact on Route 2 traffic patterns. Santa’s route with estimated arrival times will be posted on the Town of Lowell’s website in the upcoming weeks.

The route has been created to drive through some neighborhoods and past parking areas where families can view the parade from the comforts of their vehicles. The parade will end with Santa lighting the town tree at Legion Park. There will not be a formal tree lighting ceremony this year.

Holiday Magic Events: The Candy Cane Hunt and Winterfest will be omitted from this year’s events.
We hope you will continue to enjoy the beauty and magic of Lowell this holiday season and would like to wish you the safest and happiest of holidays!

We understand there is some confusion around the annual parade. Due to COVID restrictions and the best interest of our community there will not be the “traditional” parade this year that the town is used to.

But 2020 is not a wash and Santa will still come to town this year. We hope everyone will understand as we are looking forward to safely celebrate this year.

Also, don’t forget our new tradition and have your children drop off letters to Santa at the red mailbox starting 11/30 located at Town Hall 501 E. Main St.
