Continuing an 80-year tradition, the Valparaiso University Christmas Concert: A Carol Festival features more than 200 student performers in the Chorale, Men’s and Women’s choirs, Chamber Concert Band, and Symphony Orchestra. Many featured soloists will be performing.

Unique collaborations of voices and instruments present a dazzling variety of beloved Christmas carols and seasonal works. Hear music like   selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” and Handel’s “Messiah,” settings by Britten, Willcocks and Rutter, as well as traditional favorites such as “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and “Silent Night.”

The concert opens the Christmas season for the University, community, alumni and friends from throughout the Midwest,

The Christmas Concert  starts with Julefest Nov 29, 7pm,  Tuba Christmas Dec 4, 3pm,   both non ticketed events.

Tickets required for Vespers Dec 2, 7pm & repeats Dec 3, 5pm, and the Messiah Dec 21, 7pm

Ticket prices for the Valpo concerts are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and non-Valpo students. Special pricing for the Chicago performance applies. For ticket pricing and information, contact the Valparaiso University Box Office at 219.464.5162. www.valpo.edu/music
