Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., the Department of Community Development, the Black History Coalition Committee and the Hammond Human Relations Commission, will host a Virtual 2021 Black History Month Celebration on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.  The theme will be “2021 Leadership in Education” and will be honoring African American Principals and Assistant Principals.  The honorees are:

 

Yolanda Bracey, Principal, Lincoln Elementary School

Johnny Goodlow, Jr., Principal, Hammond High School

Marilyn Hampton, Assistant Principal, Maywood Elementary School

Dameca Harrison, Assistant Principal, Clark Middle and High School

Angela Coretta Johnson, Principal, Eggers Middle School

Mia Jones, Assistant Principal, Eggers Middle School

Malline Morris, Assistant Principal, Hammond High School

Tierra Redmond, Assistant Principal, Maywood Elementary School

Le Terra Smith, Principal, Maywood Elementary School
