On Saturday, Sept. 30th, 2023, the 9th annual UMW Arts & Crafts Show will take place at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CST. Over 100 artists and crafters from Indiana, Illinois and Michigan will be there showcasing their one-of-a-kind handcrafted items.
All booths are inside 3 buildings. New this year will be horse-drawn wagon rides that will tour the fairgrounds, and a children’s activity tent for kids 3 years and older where parents can leave their children under close supervision and go off to visit the artisans’ booths.
Children will have the opportunity to decorate a pumpkin to take home and participate in other fun activities. There will be a modest charge for the wagon ride and the Children’s Activity Tent.
Also featured this year will be a professional facepainter who will offer free face painting from 9 am – 1 pm. Lunch will be available for purchase as well as delicious slices of pie. ADMISSION AND PARKING ARE FREE. This event is sponsored by the women of the LaPorte First United Methodist Church.
