Duneland Photography Club is Highlighted at Local Exhibit

The Duneland Photography Club meets the first Tuesday of each month. The April 2nd meeting will be at 6:00pm at the Sunset Hill Farm County Park in the Horton Family Education Center. Doors open at 5:00pm for mentoring and individual help.

Wayne Pope will be doing a presentation on “Basic Bird Photography: topics include best camera and lenses, shooting methods with digital SLRs and smartphones, leaning bird behavior, editing, saving, sharing & printing photos.” Wayne is an adjunct associate professor of photography at Lansing Community College and teaches a variety of photo courses through their Adult Enrichment Program. He was certified as an Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist in 2018 and leads nature workshops at Indiana Dunes State Park, Potato Creek State Park, and Pokagon State Park in Indiana.

There will also be a Show and Tell time of Painting with Light Photos. Upcoming activities include a photographing spring flowers and sunsets.

Last month, the club members exhibited of their work at Wilhelmina’s in Valparaiso. They also had a photoshoot at Maple Sugar Time at the Chellberg Farm.

The Duneland Photography Club is a group of individuals helping each other improve their photography skills through classes, photoshoots, meetings, individual mentoring, community service, and other activities.
