Duneland Fall Festival at Indiana Dunes National Park

Enjoy a weekend of fun at the historic Chellberg Farm at Indiana Dunes National Park. Co-sponsored by the Friends of Indiana Dunes, the Duneland Fall Festival takes place on September 16th and 17th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free to the national park on both days so everyone can enjoy the fun.

This family-friendly event features food venders, musical groups, kid’s activities and live entertainment. Demonstration booths showcasing skills that farmers would have used in the early 1900s and modern-day sustainable practices. Wagon rides will be available for a suggested donation to the Friends of Indiana Dunes to help maintain the farm. The historic farmhouse will be open, and you can also visit the farm’s resident cows, goats, chickens, and turkeys.

The Chellberg event is just one part of the Indiana Dunes Outdoor Adventure Festival. The festival runs from September 8th through Sunday, September 17th and features more than 100 events at parks and preserves throughout Northwest Indiana. These include hiking, kayaking, biking, geo-caching, photography, birding, and more. There are events for visitors of all ages and activity levels.
