***** Highly Recommended ***** Drury Lane’s fabulous “Smokey Joe’s Café” is just about perfect. Director/Choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge took on revue that was already excellent, and added that extra dash of this and pinch of that to make it uniquely her own. I grew up with many of the songs written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller (and yes, I am giving away my age). Actually, “Smokey Joe’s Café” is one of my favorite revues, and this production is the best one yet! “Smokey Joe’s Café” gets 4 BIG Spotlights.
