Dance for the Arts Dance Marathon by Indiana Ballet

Breathing life into our region’s art community. That’s our vision. On November 18th, 2017 Indiana Ballet Theatre (IBT) will hold its first Dance Marathon at the Lake County Fairgrounds in the 4-H building from 11am – 11pm. ! It is no secret that we love dance, and what better way to work together to achieve our vision for our community than to dance together. Learn to Zumba, Line Dance or Swing Dance. Keep your energy rolling with food stations and take a break from the rhythm with fun activities and games.

The Classical Arts Centre Project will be a dynamic community space open to all who share a love for the arts and culture. Once a neglected Nurse’s Home built in 1930, the CAC Project will transform the historic building into a collaborative workspace for local art organizations to share resources, a place for community members to enjoy refreshing, cultural experiences and a lively hub to accelerate the creativity of our region. The new CAC will offer Black Box performing, community event space, a bistro and retail shop filled with hand-made gifts, art supplies and dance apparel.

Please help us make a difference! Gather your friends or family to support the CAC for this exciting campaign and celebration for our community! Any amount helps. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly toward funding the interior phase of the project, with 10% of the proceeds going to special needs programming for individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome and Parkinson’s that can be helped through Dance Movement Therapy (DMT). Below you’ll find the guidelines and your pledge sheet on the back for you to get started! Thank you in advance for your enthusiasm and support! See YOU on the dance floor!
