crown point st patricks parade coming march 17 2025

Crown Point’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade Coming March 17th, 2025

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held at dusk Monday, March 17, in the downtown square. This is the original lighted, nighttime parade in Northwest Indiana! Come enjoy the Irish festivities and listen to the Pipes and Drums bagpipe players while they lead the parade. Food and retail vendors will be set up on Joliet Street between Court and Main streets and the historic Lake County Courthouse lawn from 3-9 p.m.

The festivities will include Shamrock Lane, a seating and vendor area on the lawn of the historic Lake County Courthouse, providing a space for people to enjoy local cuisine before the parade. Instead of hosting the traditional drive-thru Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, the City will share St. Patrick’s Day specials from local, Crown Point restaurants on Facebook, @CityofCrownPointIN. (This is a Facebook Link)

Character Fleadh, a traditional Irish/Celtic five-piece musical group that uses a blend of modern and traditional instruments, will perform from 3-6 p.m. on the east side of the historic Lake County Courthouse.

Vote for your favorite St. Patrick’s Day Parade float by visiting www.crownpoint.in.gov on March 17. Winners will be announced during the April City Council meeting.

For questions, please call the Entertainment Division of the PACE Department at 219-662-3290.
