Traditional events for 2021 July resume with the of hosting of the 4th of July parade & fireworks by the City of Crown Point,. The excitement returns in 2021.
PARADE:
This year the City of Crown Point will hold the parade at 11:00 AM. The parade will take place along S. Main St from 125th St. (Burrell) to Goldsborough at the Tank. Please note the time change! Historically this event took place at 2:00 PM. Many times, daily temperatures reaching upwards of 90 degrees or higher made participating in our parade difficult. By moving this event to 11:00 AM, we can beat the heat and still have time to enjoy family and friends before the fireworks display at dusk.
To submit an entry into the 2021 4th of July parade please visit www.crownpoint.in.gov or www.cpjuly4.com to complete the application. The entry fee for city businesses / organizations is $25 per entry, or non-city businesses / organizations the fee is $50.
This event is solely funded by donations. To help support this event, please visit our website at www.crownpoint.in.gov or www.cpjuly4.com to view our sponsorship opportunities or make a donation.
As the City continues this tradition, we are looking for volunteers to help with staging for the parade and collecting of donations. Please contact Diana Bosse at the Mayor’s Office of Special Events 219-662-3290 to see how you can help
FIREWORKS:
The Celebration Committee invites everyone to the Lake County Fairgrounds for the Fireworks Display which will begin at dusk on July 4th. Early arrival is recommended.
