❄WINTER MARKET The Winter Market is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at Wheeler Middle School, 401 W. Joliet St. A variety of items, such as hand-crafted artisan goods, clothing, jewelry and holiday gifts, will be available at the market. Start your holiday shopping early! Please use the rear parking lot.

🎄TREE & TANK LIGHTING🎄 Join Mayor Pete Land and the City of Crown Point for the Tree and Tank Lighting Ceremonies on Friday, Nov. 24. This year, the Tank Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Goldsborough and Main streets with American Legion Post 20 and the Boy Scouts. A proclamation with be read during the Tank Lighting by Mayor Land.The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin immediately following, around 6:30 p.m., on the east side of the historic Lake County Courthouse. The Tree Lighting features the Crown Point High School Choir and Harmony Handbells – New and Improved. Wittenberg Village will provide hot chocolate and cookies. This free event coincides with the Christmas on the Square Celebration by the Crown Point Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Court House Foundation, which features 125 decorated trees on the Courthouse lawn, food vendors and horse-drawn carriage rides! Time: 6 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.

1 Courthouse Square Cost: Free🎅SANTA PARADE🎅 Santa is set to fly into Crown Point at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, for the Santa Parade. He will be flown in by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department helicopter. The parade will feature a special guest and begins at Pointe Plaza on North Main Street and ends at the historic Lake County Courthouse. Following the Santa Parade, families can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and take photos in the lower level of the historic Lake County Courthouse. Families also can visit The Grinch and Cindy-Lou Who for free photos at Debbies Designs Florist and Gifts, 154 N. Main St.

December Has TWO WEEKENDS In  2023 – 
Tour of LightsThe Tour of Lights returns bigger and better in 2023 – Dec 8th – Dec 17th, 2023.  Homes that would like to participate can call 219-662-3290 to sign up. Residents will be able to vote for their favorite house and view the map of all the decorated homes signed up beginning Saturday, December 9th on our website www.crownpoint.in.gov. The winner will be announced at the January City Council Meeting on January 4th, 2024 at 7pm.


VISIT SANTA AT THE COURTHOUSE
 
Santa & Mrs Claus at Crown Point Courthouse

Crown Point residents can  visit with Santa or Mrs. Claus in the basement of Courthouse on Weekends. They will be available Saturdays November 25 – December 16th from Noon to 4pm. and Sundays from Nov. 26th – Dec. 17th.
