The entire village was funded and is operated by volunteers.  The village depicts the 1800-1840’s time period.  It’s in full operation during the LaPorte Country Fair (the first full week in July), and for school tours the last weeks of May and the last two weeks of September.  It’s also open the first weekend in December and for special events as requested.  The events include bus tours, church groups, weddings, etc.  NOTE: All buildings are handicap accessible.
