Folks in Northwest Indiana don’t have to go far to hear top notch symphony orchestra performances including many held at Living Hope Church in Merrillville Indiana.

Living Hope Church is centrally located on Taft Street just above Crown Point, 2.5 miles south of US 30. The 900 seat Auditorium features great acoustics and open sight lines. There is free parking on the north and south sides of the building.

The Northwest Indiana Symphony was founded as the Gary Symphony on December 7, 1941. Since then, the organization has changed their name. But their dedication to bring quality orchestral music to the Northwest Indiana region remains.

The Northwest Indiana Symphony is comprised of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. They are supported by the Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus, and the Women’s Association.

The orchestra, a group of 75 rostered professional musicians is under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Kirk Muspratt. The orchestra plays a full season of subscription concerts.

Additionally in the summer their summer concert series provides free concerts in the park in 6 Locations! Plus, there’s a number of educational outreach initiatives throughout the year. These programs allow interaction and personal involvement by talented students from area schools.
