Chicago Shakespeare’s “Othello” is Magnificent!

***** Highly Recommended *****  Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s new production of “Othello” is nothing short of magnificent.  “Othello” is probably my least favorite of all Shakespeare’s plays because Iago is a bottom-feeding sociopath, but compelling performances from an excellent cast drew me right in.  I was on the edge of my seat all night!  “Othello” gets 4 BIG Spotlights.

“Othello” runs through April 10th in the Courtyard Theatre at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre on Navy Pier.  Running time is 2 hours, 55 minutes with an intermission.  Performances are Wednesdays at 1:00 and 7:30 pm; Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30; Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00; and Sundays at 2:00.  Tickets range from $48-$88.  Parking is available at a 40% discount in the Navy Pier Garages with validation from CST.  FYI (312) 595-5600 or www.chicagoshakes.com.
