   Calumet Revisited Forums continue at Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) in 2020,  shedding light on the region’s rich human history and environmental treasures.

 

     Feb. 4 will be Dr. Larry McClellan, author and retired dean at Governor State University will give a talk on the Underground Railroad Trail through the Calumet Region.

    On Tuesday, March 3, Peggy Salazar, Executive Director, Southeast Environmental Task Force, will address pollution concerns on Chicago’s Southeast Side, past and present.

     All discussions will be held at 5p.m. in Room 265 of CCSJ.  They are co-sponsored by the Association for the Wolf Lake Initiative (AWLI) and CCSJ and funded by Indiana Humanities. Calumet College is located at 2400 New York Ave, Whiting, IN 46394.

     AWLI is a not-for-profit organization and land trust seeking to protect and enhance the Wolf Lake Watershed.
